Refund & Settlement Policy
How Pending refunds, top-ups, cashouts, and failed deals are handled.
Last updated 8 August 2026
This Refund & Settlement Policy explains how ledger funds, LTC top-ups/cashouts, collateral-window refunds, and failed deals are handled on Swaplo.
Crypto transfers are irreversible on-chain. “Refund” on Swaplo usually means a ledger credit or operator-sent LTC, not a card chargeback.
1. General principles
Once LTC is confirmed and credited to your ledger, those funds are available for marketplace use subject to Available vs Pending rules.
We do not offer discretionary “buyer’s remorse” refunds on completed, successfully settled loans.
Operator timelines depend on network congestion, manual review queues, and fraud checks. We aim to act promptly but do not guarantee same-hour cashouts.
2. LTC top-ups
Send only LTC to the address shown in your wallet. Wrong-asset or wrong-network transfers may be unrecoverable.
Credits appear after confirmation and USD conversion of the LTC received. A Swaplo network fee (1% of the amount when under $50, or a flat $1.50 when $50 or above) is deducted from that received value before Available is credited (fee paid by the depositor). Minimum received value to credit: $5.00. On-chain miner fees are not refundable.
If you believe a confirmed top-up was not credited, open Support with TXID, amount, and approximate time. We will investigate in good faith.
3. Collateral window — Escrow Protect
When a lender funds a deal, the lending amount moves to Pending. If the borrower does not deliver collateral within 45 minutes, Pending is auto-refunded to the lender’s Available balance.
That auto-refund is the primary Escrow Protect for the pre-lock funding step. It does not require a separate ticket if the system completes the refund.
If you believe an auto-refund failed, contact Support promptly with the loan id.
4. Before collateral lock
Until admin locks collateral and starts the loan, the deal may be cancelled or refunded under platform rules (timeout, rejection, abuse).
Borrowers whose listings are rejected before funding are not charged platform success fees.
5. Active loans and repayment
After collateral lock and LTC send, the loan is active. Repayment, late fees, and liquidation follow the Terms and Pricing pages.
Successful close credits the lender per deal terms and charges the borrower the platform fee. These are settlement events, not “refunds.”
After lock, Swaplo’s duty to restore the Lender’s funded principal (except Force Majeure) is set out in Terms Section 3.1.1 and may be performed via Borrower repayment, collateral settlement, and/or Swaplo restorative ledger/LTC credit.
Defaults and liquidations are not reversed as refunds to the borrower except where the operator determines a clear operational error.
6. Cashouts
Cashout requests from Available balance are reviewed and paid manually in LTC to the address you submit. Enter the gross USD amount (minimum $5.00). When marked sent, Available is debited for the gross; LTC payout ≈ gross minus the Swaplo network fee (1% of the amount when under $50, or a flat $1.50 when $50 or above).
We may delay, reject, or request more information for risk, sanctions, or abuse reasons.
Rejected cashouts do not debit Available under the current process (debit occurs on successful send). The network fee is not charged on rejected requests.
Once an LTC cashout transaction is broadcast, on-chain transfers cannot be reversed by Swaplo.
7. Fees
The 1.5% platform fee on successful close is not refundable after a clean settlement, except for documented operator error.
The Swaplo network fee on top-ups and cashouts (1% of the amount when under $50, or a flat $1.50 when $50 or above) is not refundable once applied (credited net or payout sent). On-chain miner fees are never refundable by Swaplo.
Late fees charged under the Terms are part of settlement, not optional tip charges.
8. Errors and disputes
Report suspected ledger errors via Support as soon as possible. Include screenshots, loan ids, and TXIDs.
Peer disputes about collateral quality or delivery should use Messages and Support. Admins may read transcripts for evidence.
We may pause accounts while investigating chargeback-like abuse, double-spend attempts, or social-engineering claims.
9. No card chargebacks
Swaplo does not process classic card payments for ledger balance. There is no Visa/Mastercard chargeback path for LTC top-ups.
Attempting to recover value through false claims, account takeovers, or third-party payment abuse may result in permanent bans and referral to authorities where appropriate.
